The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries.  In October, I will be leaving the comforts of home behind and living out of a backpack for 11 months to partner with ministries and churches around the world to share the love of Jesus.  I will be traveling to Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Benin, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, India, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.  I will be traveling with a team and we will be doing ministry in a different country each month.  Some of the different types of ministry I may be doing are:

  • construction
  • evangelism outreach
  • teaching English
  • helping in orphanages
  • fighting against human trafficking
  • working with refugees

This journey will be intense and I will be pushed far outside of my comfort zone.  My hope is that not only will I be able to share the love of Jesus with many people, but that my faith will deepen and I will learn to truly rely on God.  Please pray for me and the other members of my team as we prepare our hearts to embark on this incredible journey.

Please also prayerfully consider partnering with me financially.  I need to raise $19,200 for my trip, and if you feel led to support me in this, it would be a true blessing.  I will be sending out more information about fundraising and support letters in the coming weeks.

You can subscribe to my blog to stay up to date on all that I will experience during this journey, both leading up to the time that I leave and during my travels.

God bless,

Catherine Lucas
